Dear Fellow Explorer,
I need your help.
These inkings were made during my journeyings through the mysterious world of Wildergorn, but much of the work is yet to be done for sadly, since my enchantment by the sorcerous Dark Hat, Mange Lagloom, I am only able to see in black and white.
Should you be tempted to embark on the greatest of adventures, then with instruments of your own choice, please record the true colours of Wildergorn and at last make these drawings complete.
Gratefully yours,
Jamie Courtier
According to my parents I took them by surprise and arrived early, spending my first night in the top draw of a chest of drawers in their studio near the Embankment in Pimlico, London. They were both artists so I grew up in a home full of easels, benches and tools and since then I have never been happier than when immersed in a studio or workshop. Such an upbringing lead me to the first explorations with pen and ink, into the world of Wildergorn, and then onwards, by one path and another, to a professional life in the film industry. For many years I was the creative director of Jim Henson's Creature Shop in London - designing and supervising creature effects for a wide variety of movie and TV projects including: Farscape, Dinosaurs, The Flintstones, Buddy, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, the Emmy award-winning Alice in Wonderland, The Snow Queen, The Adventures of Pinocchio, and the The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - and lucky enough to work with the most talented creature makers in the world.
Now I live in the New Forest and catch the Ferry to Wildergorn, from time to time, to continue my expeditions.
I hope to see you there!
